REWARD CHECKING

Reward Checking makes it easy to earn interest on your checking account balance by meeting a few simple qualifications.

Earning Rewards

In order to take full advantage of City Bank's Reward Checking Account, there are a few qualifications that must be met each statement cycle.

Everyday Debit Card Transactions3

Everyday debit card transactions are required to post and settle4 to your account during the statement cycle. Keep in mind that these transactions post and settle as the merchant submits the actual transaction.
Tips:
• Complete your minimum qualifications early in the statement cycle.
• Use your debit card more than the minimum required number of times during each statement cycle.
• ATM transactions to receive cash do not qualify as an everyday debit card transaction.
• A credit or refund to your account does not qualify as an everyday debit card transaction.

Bill Pay

City Bank's bill pay feature lets you pay your bills with just a few clicks. There is no limit to the number of payees you can have, and you can also view your payment history.
Tips:
• Allow 7-10 days for an online bill pay check to clear and 48 hours for an electronic transaction to clear.

ACH Transactions

To qualify for the higher interest rates, an ACH5 is required. An ACH is an electronic funds transfer such as a utility bill or payroll direct deposit.
Tips:
• Have several ACH transactions set up on your account.
• Automatic payments for a City Bank loan will count as an ACH.

e-Statements

To qualify for the higher interest rates, e-Statements are required. Sign up for e-Statements through your online banking at city.bank or City Bank's mobile banking app.

It's simple to save and earn on multiple accounts.

Reward Checking + Reserve Account(s) = Reward Plus

Your Reward Plus account(s) links to your primary Reward Checking account so you can earn a higher interest rate on two or more accounts. No additional qualifications are necessary for Plus accounts and compared to a Savings account, your Plus account(s) are more flexible and can earn a better interest rate.

Your Reward Plus account(s) can be linked to your current debit card as a secondary account. This means you cannot make purchases with this account, but you can withdraw money at any City Bank owned ATM. You can even make deposits to your Reward Plus account(s) as needed.
